Erstens im Hinblick auf den allgemeinen Trend zu einer steigenden Krebs\u00fcberlebensrate in den letzten Jahren. Epidemiologen haben sogar bei Tumoren mit schlechter Prognose <strong>Anstiege der \u00dcberlebensraten<\/strong> festgestellt. Dennoch besteht das Risiko, im Rahmen einer therapeutischen Intervention einen Preis zu zahlen. Wir sprechen von Chemobrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was ist Chemobrain?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Gesamtheit der <strong>kognitiven Effekte, die durch die Chemotherapie-Behandlung entstehen<\/strong>, wird als Chemobrain bezeichnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chemobrain ist ein <strong>Zustand, der durch kognitive Beeintr\u00e4chtigungen gekennzeichnet ist, insbesondere durch Schwierigkeiten bei der Informationsverarbeitung bei Personen, die Chemotherapie erhalten oder Krebs\u00fcberlebende sind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es ist wichtig zu unterscheiden zwischen dem kognitiven Abbau, der durch bestimmte neurotoxische Chemotherapeutika hervorgerufen wird, und den kognitiven Ver\u00e4nderungen infolge von Tumoren im Zentralnervensystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wie l\u00e4sst sich Chemobrain erkennen?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Auswirkungen, die Chemotherapie auf das Gehirn und die kognitive Funktion hat, sind vielf\u00e4ltig, da <strong>es verschiedene Arten von Chemotherapie<\/strong> mit jeweils eigenen Wirkmechanismen gibt. Dies stellt eine <strong>Herausforderung bei der Diagnosestellung von Chemobrain<\/strong> dar.
