A evid\u00eancia cient\u00edfica indica que sim.<\/strong><br><br>O exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico \u00e9 uma das interven\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o farmacol\u00f3gicas mais eficazes para melhorar a sa\u00fade cerebral ao longo da vida. A evid\u00eancia cient\u00edfica mostra que a atividade f\u00edsica n\u00e3o s\u00f3 favorece a condi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica, como tamb\u00e9m melhora fun\u00e7\u00f5es cognitivas como a mem\u00f3ria, a aten\u00e7\u00e3o e as fun\u00e7\u00f5es executivas, al\u00e9m de contribuir para a preven\u00e7\u00e3o do decl\u00ednio cognitivo e da dem\u00eancia.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introdu\u00e7\u00e3o <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quando pensamos em exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico, costumamos associ\u00e1-lo a praticar algum tipo de <a href=\"https:\/\/neuronup.com\/br\/neurociencia\/cerebro\/o-esporte-como-melhor-aliado-do-nosso-cerebro\/\">esporte<\/a>, melhorar a condi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica ou reduzir o peso corporal. No entanto, a ci\u00eancia demonstra h\u00e1 anos que <strong>o movimento tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 uma das ferramentas mais potentes para cuidar do c\u00e9rebro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde a inf\u00e2ncia at\u00e9 a velhice, o exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico influencia o desenvolvimento cerebral, o desempenho cognitivo, a sa\u00fade mental e a preven\u00e7\u00e3o do decl\u00ednio cognitivo. A seguir, revisamos alguns aspectos que diz a <strong>evid\u00eancia cient\u00edfica sobre os benef\u00edcios do exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico em cada etapa da vida<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inf\u00e2ncia e adolesc\u00eancia: exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico, sa\u00fade cerebral e desempenho escolar <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A inf\u00e2ncia e a adolesc\u00eancia s\u00e3o etapas chave para o desenvolvimento do c\u00e9rebro. Durante esses anos, o <strong>c\u00e9rebro \u00e9 especialmente pl\u00e1stico<\/strong>, o que significa que responde de forma muito sens\u00edvel aos est\u00edmulos do ambiente, entre eles a atividade f\u00edsica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00fameros estudos demonstraram que as <strong>crian\u00e7as e adolescentes mais ativas<\/strong>, ou com melhor condi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica, <strong>apresentam melhor desempenho cognitivo e escolar<\/strong>, especialmente em processos como a <a href=\"https:\/\/neuronup.com\/br\/areas-de-intervencao\/funcoes-cognitivas\/atencao\/\">aten\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/neuronup.com\/br\/areas-de-intervencao\/funcoes-cognitivas\/memoria\/\">mem\u00f3ria<\/a> e as <a href=\"https:\/\/neuronup.com\/br\/areas-de-intervencao\/funcoes-cognitivas\/funcoes-executivas\/\">fun\u00e7\u00f5es executivas<\/a> (Donnelly et al., 2016). Obviamente, essas habilidades s\u00e3o fundamentais para a aprendizagem e o sucesso escolar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al\u00e9m disso, a evid\u00eancia vai al\u00e9m do desempenho escolar. Estudos com t\u00e9cnicas de neuroimagem mostraram que a <strong>atividade f\u00edsica est\u00e1 associada a maior volume<\/strong> <strong>de <\/strong>estruturas cerebrais chave, como o hipocampo e os g\u00e2nglios da base,<strong> regi\u00f5es implicadas na mem\u00f3ria, na aprendizagem e no controlo cognitivo<\/strong> (Cadenas-Sanchez et al., 2023). Por exemplo, pesquisas lideradas pela Universidade de Granada observaram associa\u00e7\u00f5es positivas entre a condi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica e o volume de diferentes regi\u00f5es cerebrais em crian\u00e7as (Cadenas-Sanchez et al., 2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De forma semelhante, a evid\u00eancia cient\u00edfica indica que n\u00edveis mais altos de atividade f\u00edsica se relacionam com <strong>melhores resultados acad\u00eamicos em matem\u00e1tica e linguagem durante a adolesc\u00eancia<\/strong> (Donnelly et al., 2016; Esteban-Cornejo et al., 2015).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esses achados refor\u00e7am a ideia de que o <strong>exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico n\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas sa\u00fade, tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 educa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>. A ansiedade e a depress\u00e3o s\u00e3o alguns dos transtornos mentais mais prevalentes e representam uma importante carga pessoal, social e econ\u00f4mica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A evid\u00eancia cient\u00edfica determina que a pr\u00e1tica regular de exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico est\u00e1 associada a uma <strong>redu\u00e7\u00e3o significativa dos sintomas de depress\u00e3o e ansiedade<\/strong> (Rebar et al., 2015). Metan\u00e1lises e revis\u00f5es sistem\u00e1ticas mostraram que o exerc\u00edcio pode ser uma <strong>estrat\u00e9gia eficaz tanto para a preven\u00e7\u00e3o quanto para o tratamento complementar<\/strong> desses transtornos (Rebar et al., 2015; Schuch et al., 2016).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Os mecanismos que explicam esses <strong>benef\u00edcios <\/strong>s\u00e3o m\u00faltiplos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Melhora da regula\u00e7\u00e3o do stress<\/strong> atrav\u00e9s do eixo hipot\u00e1lamo-hip\u00f3fise-adrenal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aumento de neurotransmissores relacionados ao bem-estar<\/strong>, como a serotonina e a dopamina.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Redu\u00e7\u00e3o da inflama\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong> sist\u00e9mica.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Melhora do sono, da autoestima e da perce\u00e7\u00e3o de autoefic\u00e1cia<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O mais interessante \u00e9 que n\u00e3o parece existir uma \u00fanica \u201creceita\u201d. Tanto o exerc\u00edcio aer\u00f3bico como o treino de for\u00e7a t\u00eam mostrado benef\u00edcios para a sa\u00fade mental. No entanto, o exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico consolidou-se como <strong>um dos fatores de estilo de vida mais promissores para preservar a sa\u00fade cerebral em idades avan\u00e7adas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A evid\u00eancia cient\u00edfica demonstrou que as <a href=\"https:\/\/neuronup.com\/br\/investigacao\/linhas-de-investigacao\/exercicio-fisico-e-declinio-cognitivo-como-prescrever-atividade-fisica-para-proteger-a-saude-do-cerebro-no-envelhecimento\/\"><strong>pessoas idosas fisicamente ativas apresentam melhor desempenho cognitivo<\/strong><\/a>, menor atrofia cerebral e uma maior preserva\u00e7\u00e3o de regi\u00f5es cerebrais-chave como o hipocampo (Erickson et al., 2009, 2011). Um estudo cl\u00e1ssico mostrou que <strong>programas de exerc\u00edcio aer\u00f3bico podem inclusive aumentar o volume do hipocampo e melhorar a mem\u00f3ria<\/strong> em adultos mais velhos (Erickson et al., 2011).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al\u00e9m disso, a atividade f\u00edsica regular est\u00e1 associada a um <strong>menor risco de desenvolver <a href=\"https:\/\/neuronup.com\/br\/noticias-de-estimulacao-cognitiva\/doencas-neurodegenerativas\/deterioro-cognitivo-leve-demencia-diferencas-clinicas-diagnostico-e-estimulacao-cognitiva\/\">dem\u00eancia<\/a> e <a href=\"https:\/\/neuronup.com\/br\/noticias-de-estimulacao-cognitiva\/doencas-neurodegenerativas\/atrofia-hipocampal-diferencas-entre-deterioro-cognitivo-leve-dcl-e-alzheimer\/\">doen\u00e7a de Alzheimer<\/a><\/strong>. A literatura cient\u00edfica indicou que as pessoas mais ativas apresentam menor risco de decl\u00ednio cognitivo e dem\u00eancia em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com aquelas com estilos de vida sedent\u00e1rios (Sofi et al., 2011).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nesta fase, a evid\u00eancia sugere que os <strong>maiores benef\u00edcios s\u00e3o obtidos com programas multicomponentes<\/strong> que incluam:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Exerc\u00edcio aer\u00f3bico<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Treino de for\u00e7a<\/strong> para preservar a massa muscular.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Atividades que integrem <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/neuronup.com\/br\/atividades-de-neurorreabilitacao\/para-alzheimer\/10-exercicios-de-estimulacao-cognitiva-para-pessoas-com-alzheimer\/\">estimula\u00e7\u00e3o cognitiva<\/a> e social<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclus\u00e3o: moverse es cuidar la salud del cerebro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lo largo de toda la vida, el ejercicio f\u00edsico act\u00faa como un aut\u00e9ntico modulador de la salud cerebral. Desde favorecer el desarrollo cognitivo en la infancia, hasta proteger la salud mental en la edad adulta, y reducir el riesgo de deterioro cognitivo en la vejez. En definitiva, <strong>moverse es una inversi\u00f3n en bienestar cognitivo y emocional<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Promover estilos de vida activos desde edades tempranas y mantenerlos a lo largo de la vida deber\u00eda ser una prioridad<\/strong> tanto en el \u00e1mbito educativo como en el sanitario. En este sentido, la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud lo resume de forma clara y contundente con su lema \u201ccada movimiento cuenta\u201d (Bull et al., 2020).
